Cade Rowley always showed an interest in building and engineering from a young age. Encouraged by his family and teachers, Cade decided to study civil engineering at Arizona State University. He worked hard to earn his degree, knowing this would open doors for him in the professional world. After graduating and becoming a registered professional engineer, Cade was ready to start his career and make a difference in the construction industry.
Getting Started at Sundt
In 1998, Cade began working at Sundt Construction as a field engineer. This was his first big step into the professional world. He learned how different teams worked together on job sites and saw firsthand how important it was to communicate, plan, and solve problems quickly. His early years were full of learning experiences that helped him grow both personally and professionally. Cade always took extra time to understand every detail, never afraid to roll up his sleeves and help wherever he was needed.
Moving Up in the Company
It didn’t take long for people at Sundt Construction to notice Cade’s strong work ethic and leadership skills. Cade moved up through several positions, each with more responsibility. Before becoming President and Chief Operating Officer, he led Sundt’s construction Group. Here, Cade helped the group nearly triple its annual revenue to over $1.3 billion in less than three years. He and his team worked on large projects, making wise choices and supporting each other through any challenge.
Big Projects and Achievements
Cade played a significant role in completing billions of dollars’ worth of critical infrastructure projects across many states. These jobs included things like water treatment plants, mining projects, and advanced technology centers. Some of the projects even won awards for being among the best in the whole country. Cade liked being part of jobs that improved life for entire communities and always made sure the people on his teams felt proud of their work.
Leadership and Company Role
As Sundt’s President and Chief Operating Officer since 2024, Cade has helped lead the company and make big decisions that affect its future. He works with other leaders in the company to set goals, make plans, and support employees. Cade believes everyone should feel valued at work and encourages a culture where people care for one another and work hard as a team. His clear vision helps Sundt continue to grow while staying true to its values.
Service Beyond the Company
Cade doesn’t just work for Sundt; he also helps out in construction industry groups. He is a member of The Beavers, an association of construction leaders, and sits on key boards in the Arizona Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). He has even served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for this chapter, using his experience to support and improve the industry for everyone involved.
Caring for the Community
Even with his busy work schedule, Cade makes time for community service and helping others. He believes that giving back is a big part of being a good leader. Cade has consistently volunteered his time with construction groups and encourages his Sundt teams to do the same. He feels that supporting others, whether it’s in the workplace or around town, makes a stronger company and a better community for everyone.
