FirstService Residential has appointed Maria Hurst as Senior Vice President of its Condo/Coop Werny Division in New York, expanding the company’s leadership team as it continues to grow its residential management operations.
In her new position, Hurst will oversee a broad portfolio of condominium and cooperative properties while leading property management teams across the division. Her responsibilities include operational oversight, strategic planning, and supporting service delivery for residential communities throughout New York City.
Hurst previously served as Vice President within the company’s New Development Group, where she managed consultative and property management teams handling new development properties.
More Than 20 Years With the Company
The promotion marks another major step in Hurst’s long career with FirstService Residential. She joined the company in 2003 as an assistant property manager and later advanced through several leadership positions, including property manager, senior property manager, managing director, and vice president.
Over the years, she has overseen several large-scale capital improvement projects involving façade restoration work, roof and window replacement programs, Local Law 11 compliance projects, and Local Law 87 energy audit initiatives.
Keith Werny, president of the Condo/Coop Werny Division, said Hurst’s leadership and operational experience have made a lasting impact on the organization.
He added that her experience with new development, luxury, and established residential properties positions her strongly to lead the division forward.
