Architects spend a great deal of time turning design concepts and 3D models into clear visuals that clients can easily understand. Visoid is looking to make that process faster and more practical. The Oslo-based company has raised €2.16 million ($2.5 million) in new funding to develop its architectural visualisation platform, expand its team and grow its international customer base.

The funding round was led by Skyfall Ventures, with participation from existing investors StartupLab, OBOS and Antler. New investors Farvatn and byFounders Angel Collective also joined the round.

Visoid Targets the Architectural Design Market

Founded in 2023, Visoid develops visualisation software for architects and design professionals. The company is based in Oslo, Norway, and focuses on helping professionals turn existing 3D models into finished architectural visualisations.

Visoid’s platform is designed to fit into existing design workflows rather than require architects to completely change how they work. The company says its software can be used with 3D models and can help professionals create visual representations of their projects during the design process. Its platform also supports integrations with design applications. Visoid currently lists add-ons for Revit, SketchUp, and Archicad, while users can also use the platform as a standalone application and upload images or 3D models.

Funding Will Support Growth

Visoid plans to use the new capital to expand its team, continue developing its platform, and strengthen its presence in international markets. The company also plans to expand its engineering, product, and commercial teams.

The company currently has a team of nine employees and expects to double its workforce by the end of 2026. This planned expansion will give Visoid more resources to develop its product and support its growing customer base. The company also plans to develop additional capabilities for architectural workflows and build stronger relationships with architecture and design firms.

Major Architecture Firms Among Its Customers

Visoid has already gained customers among several established architecture firms. The company has identified OMA, LEO A DALY, Sweco Group and Nordic Office of Architecture among the firms using its platform.

This customer base gives the Oslo startup an opportunity to expand its reach within the architecture and design industry. Its focus is on helping professionals create visualisations while keeping the design process connected to their existing models and workflows. Visoid CEO Mark Szoke said architects have traditionally been cautious about adopting new software, but the company has seen a faster response to its technology.

Building Around Existing Design Workflows

Visoid’s product is aimed at making architectural visualisation more accessible during the design process. Its website shows workflows for rendering models from applications such as Revit and SketchUp, as well as creating visualisations from sketches and other inputs.

For Revit users, Visoid provides an add-in that allows a model to be exported directly into the Visoid platform. The company’s current Revit add-in supports versions 2025, 2026 and 2027 on Windows. The company also provides an API for integrating Visoid’s rendering capabilities into other solutions.

Visoid Looks to Scale Internationally

The latest investment gives Visoid additional capital at a time when the company is expanding its customer base and product capabilities. With Skyfall Ventures leading the round and both existing and new investors participating, the company now has funding to increase its workforce and continue product development.

For Visoid, the next phase will focus on international growth, stronger partnerships and further development of its visualisation platform. As architecture firms look for faster ways to communicate design ideas, the company is positioning its software as a tool that can become part of everyday architectural workflows. The €2.16 million funding marks another step in Visoid’s growth since its 2023 launch. With plans to double its team and expand globally, the Oslo-based company is now preparing to take its architectural visualisation platform to a wider market.
