Queen City Joins American Track Platform

Queen City Railroad Construction, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, provides rail maintenance and construction services for industrial and short-line railroad customers. Founded in 1928, the company has operated in the rail infrastructure industry for decades and has established a strong regional presence in the Southeastern United States.

Under the agreement, Queen City will become part of the American Track platform while continuing to operate under its existing leadership team. Mark Edmands, president of Queen City Railroad Construction, will continue leading the company after the acquisition.

“Bringing Queen City into the American Track platform represents an important step in our continued growth,” Lucario said in the company’s statement. “Their long-standing reputation and deep industry expertise complement our existing capabilities and strengthen our ability to deliver solutions across North America.”

Expansion Across the U.S. Rail Market

American Track Chief Operating Officer Stacey Posey said Queen City’s operational experience and industry reputation made the company a strong fit for the organization.

Posey said the acquisition will help American Track broaden its reach while continuing to support industrial and short-line rail customers across key U.S. markets.

Mark Edmands also welcomed the partnership and said the combined organizations would improve service capabilities while creating opportunities for employees and customers.

“Our team is excited to join American Track,” Edmands said in the official announcement. “The combined experience and national reach of our organizations position us to better serve our customers while creating new opportunities for our employees.”

North American Rail Solutions Continues Growth

North American Rail Solutions was formed in 2021 through a partnership between DFW Capital Partners and the management team of American Track. Since then, the company has expanded its operations across the United States and Canada.
